Michael proposed to Zoe in Sintra, Portugal and the two wanted to recreate some of the magic of that place for their wedding. Sintra is an ancient place with story book castles nestled among lush forests. At sunset, they watched swallows dart in and out of the eaves of their Inn, so the swallow was an important element of the design. These swallows are taken from the photographed silhouettes of tiny portuguese ceramic birds the couple bought on their trip.
This is a four piece wedding invitation suite, including a shutter-style folder enclosure tied with twine. Four ink colors are used across the various pieces. It is printed on 100% cotton paper in a natural white, heavyweight stock. The peach envelopes have a deckled edge and are handmade in Spain.
